Ontario Universities, Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Universities and colleges have always been known as the place to develop your knowledge, skills, and become more professional in the hopes of successfully entering the workforce.

However, more stories are popping up where founders or cofounders of companies drop out of school or work on a side project while in school. The common theme in these stories is the lack of resources at the school to foster students’ ideas and projects. Nowadays, students are engaging in a more creative educational experience with entrepreneurship; post-secondary institutions are better equipped to help by developing spaces, courses, and extracurricular programs for these budding entrepreneurs.

In Ontario alone, there are innovation centres and accelerators linked to universities and campuses helping entrepreneurs and students. Below is a list of some of the institutions linked to universities and colleges across Ontario.
