Lum is the current CampusStart Coordinator at the Ontario Centres of Excellence. Previously, he was an integral part of the formation and launch of the University of Toronto Mississauga Entrepreneurship Business Accelerator (ICUBE) creating the program and curriculum. Darren has spent time working for the Regional Innovation Centre of Peel Region (RIC Centre) as the Communications and Marketing Officer. He has also worked for 2 technology startups in cloud payroll and 3D printing while completing his Master’s in Biotechnology from the University of Toronto Mississauga.

Doug took early retirement as an audit partner with KPMG after a 32 year career to pursue other business, community and personal interests. While at KPMG he worked with businesses in the chemical, plastics, pharmaceutical/life sciences sectors and industrial markets in general. Although retired from KPMG, Doug is extremely active and currently serving as a Trusted Business and Financial Advisor to small and mid-sized business owners and high net worth individuals and helps them better manage their business and personal affairs. Doug is also a Strategic Advisor to Brickbase Business Professional Support Services, a start-up business which specializes in business process transformation and combines state-of-the-art cloud-based technology and on-demand, top-tier personalized professional services.
Doug is a member of UTM Campus Council, is actively engaged mentoring many UTM business students and graduates and is a recent recipient of an Arbor Award from the university. He is also very active in many other community activities including being a key member of the Board Fundraising Committee of the Nature Conservancy of Canada – Ontario and supporting an organization that provides disabled youth the opportunity to learn to ski/snowboard.

During Doug’s career as a consultant, he has focused on small & medium private companies providing counsel and support in wide variety of business areas: business development, product management, training and coaching, operations support, sales & marketing, goal setting and business planning, mentoring and developing plans to attract investment financing.

Ian has spent the past six years building education technology companies. Prior to Andela, he co-founded two startups, LearnVille and Fora, which was accepted into Canadas top accelerator, Extreme Startups. At Fora, Ian connected over 800 students across Africa to online courses.
Ian is currently a mentor for Techstars, one of the top startup accelerators in the world, where he brings his immense experience leading technical and business teams and building digital products, including three Learning Management Systems.
Ian has a background in Computer Science and Digital Enterprise Management from the University of Toronto as well as Visual Design from Sheridan College. His passion for user experience coupled with his desire to help people succeed drives his vision of shaping the world through education.

Natalie Yeadon worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 18 years. The U of T Mississauga grad held a variety of roles in sales, marketing and early brand commercialization management both in Canada and in the US. A veteran in the pharmaceutical industry, Yeadon dedicates herself to work she strongly believes in—improving healthcare by providing an easy-to-use, always accessible, online platform for healthcare professionals and industry leaders to connect, communicate and collaborate.
She has led product launches, include “first in kind” product, FluMist, an intranasal flu vaccine for AstraZeneca, and Herceptin for HER2+ early breast cancer with Genentech.
Yeadon began her career as a radiation therapist treating cancer patients at Toronto’s Princess Margaret Hospital where she treated babies with tumors and nueroblastomas. She says that experience plays a big part in how she considers issues in her current work. “Facing life-or-death situations daily made me realize that my day-to-day concerns paled in comparison to big health issues,” she says. “I worry less about the “what if” than the average person, which allows me to make successful, risky strategic decisions for Impetus.”

Nick Kuryluk is a graduate from the University of Toronto. He is a Principal at Virtus Insights Inc., A Strategic Management Professional Services Firm. Nick worked in the Bio-Pharmaceutical Industry for 24 years — 22 of them with Amgen Inc., a biotechnology company that discovers, develops, and manufactures human therapeutics. While at Amgen, Nick was Director of the Strategy and Program Management Office. Vigen Nazarian is the President of Naprico Inc. – a consulting company providing advisory and financing services to early stage technology companies.
Vigen started his career in 1989 as a researcher in the biotechnology industry working at companies such as Allelix, Pioneer Hi-Bred and Dupont. In 2000 he joined University of Toronto to commercialize innovations arising from university research. During his time at U. of T. he was instrumental in launching several startups, as well as forming academic and business partnership valued in excess of $100 million. In 2005 Vigen left U. of T. to cofound his first startup company – Amorfix Life Sciences (currently ProMIS Neurosciences Inc.TSX:PMN), followed by Algopix Technologies and Antvibes Inc.
As a veteran entrepreneur and angel investor Vigen now spends most of his time mentoring young entrepreneurs at colleges and universities.
