Partner Highlight: Greater Toronto Executives Center

Are you a solopreneur seeking a co-working space, a team looking for a professional office to kickstart your operations, or a remote business in need of a business address or meeting space? Look no further than the Greater Toronto Executives Center (GTEC), a proud sponsor of ICUBE’s InnovateHERed program. GTEC is a workspace solutions provider, aiming to provide holistic workspace solutions for any kind of business, from startups to established companies scaling up or down. Their solutions and collaborative spaces include independent office suites, co-working spaces, dedicated desks, meeting rooms and virtual Office solutions. GTEC is redefining what it means to work collaboratively and professionally in the Greater Toronto Area.

At the heart of GTEC’s success is managing partner Ritu Kohli-Sethi, who joined her brother and GTEC founder, Sam Kohli, in scaling the family business to new heights. Sam envisioned a workspace solution tailored for entrepreneurs, startups, professionals, and organizations aiming to scale or expand within the Greater Toronto Area. His approach emphasizes affordability and flexibility, offering shared office solutions and adaptable workspaces. Ritu, who holds an EMBA from the Ivey School of Business, saw in GTEC an opportunity to combine her extensive background in client relations, business development and marketing with her passion for entrepreneurship and collaboration. She says she is a “connector by nature”, emphasizing her belief in growing together and scaling professionally.

GTEC’s story began in 2007 with its flagship location, Airport North Centre, offering just 10 offices, meeting spaces, and reception services, along with shared office spaces and business centers. Back then, co-working spaces were a niche concept with little traction. GTEC quickly recognized the evolving needs of entrepreneurs, and has since grown to two locations with over 80 offices, 10 meeting rooms, training space for up to 40 people and co-working options. Today, as demand for shared workspaces continues to soar post-pandemic, GTEC stands as a leader in its industry, delivering high-quality, affordable solutions tailored to its clients’ needs.

Collaboration remains a cornerstone of GTEC’s philosophy. This is evident through their many partnerships, one of them being with ICUBE. GTEC is currently sponsoring InnovateHERed, ICUBE’s six-week entrepreneurship program for young women. Ritu joined ICUBE at InnovateHERed’s final pitch session to give participants feedback. GTEC is certainly no stranger to collaborations with ICUBE, especially where amplifying women-led startups are considered. Last year, GTEC was kind enough to sponsor Pitch With a Twist, offering up tons of prizes to the winner, including a professional business address, mail handling and notifications, courier acceptance, 35 meeting room credits per month, 4 day passes and more.

“The past six weeks have been an incredibly enriching experience for me. I came all the way from Paraguay, South America, to pursue a master’s degree at the University of Toronto, with the goal of enhancing my business skills and ultimately becoming an entrepreneur. I was thrilled to learn about ICUBE, as I’ve had a business idea in mind for a long time but had to put it on hold while focusing on my studies. Joining ICUBE gave me the chance to pursue both my education and my entrepreneurial aspirations simultaneously, allowing me to continue developing my business idea…

What made this experience even more impactful was being part of a cohort of passionate, entrepreneurial women who were at various stages of their business journeys. Their energy and determination inspired me and reassured me that there are others with dreams similar to mine. Getting to know them and learning from their experiences was undoubtedly the best part of the program.”
