Announcing PITCH 2018

Innovation in Mississauga is moving forward at an incredible pace. On January 18th, ICUBE UTM is excited to host it’s semi-annual Pitch Competition, bringing innovators, entrepreneurs and all lovers of tech, together to see the great things happening in technology! In the past these pitch competitions have been a great way to showcase teams to investors and organizations that can propel these startups forward. Finalists have gone on to raise $300K on Kickstarter, operate in 13+ countries, have valuations over $12M and more!

The top three finalists of this year’s competition will not only receive their share of a total cash prize of $10,000 but also, $3,000 in legal services from Ridout & Maybee to help their startup succeed.

“We welcome anyone interested in entrepreneurship.  Not only is this event a great opportunity to source high-potential tech start-ups from the Peel Region, but it provides a unique opportunity for the community to meet with these founders early on in their development as they make their first pitch” said Ignacio Mongrell, Strategic Relations & Innovations Manager for ICUBE.

PITCH is designed to showcase innovation and entrepreneurship at U of T Mississauga, our city and our region. Focusing an early and developing stage ventures, ICUBE brings together innovators from a variety of sectors.  Join us to learn from amazing speakers sharing their experiences, network with great companies and sponsors, and be at the hub of where ideas grow at UTM!

“We look forward to ICUBE’s final pitch competition to showcase how these innovative teams have developed over the past few months in the ICE program and to share their exciting ideas with the community and local investors” mentioned Donna Heslin, Director of Graduate Programs and External Relations at the University of Toronto Mississauga, as part of the Department of Management and Institute of Management & Innovation.
