Founded in January 2023, Swiirl’s mission is rooted in addressing critical funding gaps in education, particularly for underrepresented schools and communities. The company has developed an AI-powered platform that acts as a co-pilot for brand marketing teams, connecting them to schools in the community. By redirecting brand budgets typically spent on generic marketing assets toward schools, Swiirl brings mutual value for brands and communities alike. This innovative approach has already set in motion partnerships with organizations like Cricket Wireless, Provenance Farms, and Lundberg Family Farms. Swiirl got involved with ICUBE earlier this year, and quickly applied for and was accepted to ICUBE’s current cohort. Swiirl has benefited greatly from the mentorship at ICUBE, and the support they get from the weekly educational sessions for startups within the cohort. They also have found great support in building their PR; ICUBE provided them with PR support, press release templates and pitch media. Finally, ICUBE helped Swiirl in developing their branding, sales material and other company assets.
Swiirl’s launch into Canada has been a tremendous feat, as school districts have been tentative in forming collaborations with private companies. Swiirl’s success with the Peel District School Board (PDSB) is breaking new ground. This collaboration, sponsored by Provenance Farms, a leader in regenerative farming, supports PDSB’s 4-year strategic vision of educating students about environmental stewardship. Through this partnership, students gain hands-on experience and real-world education, engaging with Provenance Farms as a beacon of sustainable agricultural practices.
In the United States, Swiirl is amplifying marginalized voices through a campaign with Cricket Wireless that celebrates Black communities. They are focused on engaging students and families in Los Angeles. This initiative drives home Swiirl’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. By incorporating community members into marketing campaigns, Swiirl uplifts authentic narratives that resonate deeply with target audiences.
These campaigns make it clear that Swiirl can deliver tangible benefits to schools and, at the same time, redefine how brands engage with their audiences. The results are undeniable: over $100,000 in funding generated for schools, 200+ students engaged in creative projects, 11 brand clients signed and over 20 more in the pipeline.
