#UofTPRIDEPITCH 2021: Celebrating U of T’S LGBTQ2S+ Entrepreneurs

This Pride month, the spotlight is on the University of Toronto’s LGBTQ2S+ entrepreneurs for the second year of the PRIDE Pitch Competition.

On June 16th, U of T Entrepreneurship and Positive Space will open the (virtual) doors for all three campuses’ selected participants, where they will have five minutes to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges. The participating individuals or teams will have an opportunity to win $5,000 in cash prizes.

Martha Chaves will also be joining PRIDE Pitch as this year’s keynote speaker. Chaves is an award-winning comedian, actor, activist, and playwright who has an impressive collection of stand-up tours and comedy specials under her belt.

Whether they are current students or recent alumni, PRIDE Pitch strives to uplift and accelerate LGBTQ2S+ entrepreneurs in the UofT community. Diversity and inclusion are important in all spheres, especially the ones where certain voices need to be amplified. For those entrepreneurs who hope to make strides in their fields, PRIDE Pitch is the perfect place to start.

PRIDE Pitch 2021 will be held on Wednesday, June 16th at 4:00 PM-6:00 PM via Zoom.
