Innovation Saturday: Tech and the City Success

It is safe to say this weekend was one for the books. Between Tech and the City, our Launch Lunch and Fall campus day, we got to engage with hundreds of students, prospective students, community members, staff and the City of Mississauga representatives.

Tech and the City was held on Saturday Oct 21st in UTM and followed of 2016’s Code and the City perfectly, continuing the legacy of cooperation between students and the city with ICUBE’s help. This public hack-style event co-produced and hosted by the City of Mississauga, ICUBE UTM, Sheridan College, RIC Centre, SOTI Inc., and presenting sponsor ESRI Canada took on the mission of “Building a Connected and Engaged City” with much success.

DMsUg1LUEAAxMccWe would like to congratulate the 3 winning teams on their great work and achievement. For winning the “Connecting with the environment” challenge congrats go to the Sauga Heck Squad. The winners of the “Connecting business to business” challenge are  Team Null. Last but not least, are the winners of “Connecting Mississauga Communities” – team Jazz Hands.

ICUBE is thankful for the opportunity to collaborate on amazing initiatives like this and looking forwards to next year!
