Krull, a distinguished researcher and teacher, has a strong record of service and leadership at U of T. In 2015, he was appointed UTM’s acting vice-president and principal for six months during Professor Deep Saini’s administrative leave. Before this, Krull served at UTM as vice-principal, special initiatives (2012-2016); vice-principal, research (2003-2013); vice-dean, graduate (2006-2008); and associate dean of sciences (1994-1999).

Nico earned his Ph.D. from the Sloan School of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006. In 2010, he joined the University of Toronto where he is currently Associate Professor at the UTM Institute for Management and Innovation with a cross appointment at the Rotman School of Management. He is also a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and at the Canadian Centre for Health Economics.
At UTM, Nico teaches classes in Entrepreneurship and the Management of Innovation. His research interests include the economics of innovation, with studies of the research decisions of academic scientists, the commercialization of academic research, and innovation contests.

Pierre Desrochers is Associate Professor of Geography at the University of Toronto Mississauga. His research and teaching activities focus primarily on economic development, technological innovation, entrepreneurship, international trade, business-environment and business-university interactions. His other areas of expertise include intellectual property and urban and housing policy.

Anthony Wensley is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Management Information Systems in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga, with a cross-appointment to the Accounting area at Rotman. He is also the Chair of Communications and Culture and Information Technology Program at the University of Toronto-Mississauga. He teaches courses in information systems, decision analysis, law and ecommerce and management accounting. Some of his research interests include game theory and information systems; intellectual property and knowledge structures; encoding of organizational knowledge; and the understanding, implementing, and managing of enterprise systems.

- Sonia K. KangAssistant Professor Department of Management, University of Toronto Mississauga
Sonia Kang is an Assistant Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Mississauga, and holds a cross-appointment to the Organizational Behaviour and HR Management area at Rotman. Her research explores the challenges and opportunities of diversity, including strategies for mitigating the far-reaching effects of stigma and harnessing the power of diversity for society and organizations alike. Sonia’s research has been published in journals including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Administrative Science Quarterly, and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, and has been featured in media outlets such as The Globe and Mailand The Atlantic.

Helen Kula is the Librarian, Institute for Management and Innovation and is based in the Li Koon Chun Finance Learning Centre. Helen was previously employed at MaRS Discovery District, Canada¹s largest innovation centre, where she launched MaRS’ market intelligence service for startups and provided customized research support to over 500 startups. Helen also served as Data Product Manager at MaRS Data Catalyst, a MaRS program. Helen was a lead organizer of the first-ever library-focused edition of Startup Weekend, held in Toronto in April 2014, and continues to be passionate about connecting libraries and library services with startups.
