Pitch AI Solutions for Real-World Impact\n\n\nJoin high school students from across Ontario for a one-day AI business innovation conference and startup challenge designed to inspire the next generation of innovators\, entrepreneurs\, and future business leaders at the University of Toronto Mississauga.  \nHosted by ICUBE UTM and The Erindale Academy\, the School 2.0 AI Business Innovation Conference & Startup Challenge gives students the opportunity to learn from youth entrepreneurs\, startup founders\, university innovation leaders\, and industry professionals — then apply what they learn to a real-world AI startup challenge. \nStudents may choose to participate in the full Conference + Startup Challenge\, or attend as Conference Only participants to learn\, network\, and watch selected student pitch presentations. \nNo prior business\, startup\, or AI competition experience is required — just curiosity\, creativity\, and the drive to learn. \n\n\nWho Should Attend\nThis event is designed for: \n\nOntario high school students in Grades 9–12\nStudents interested in business\, entrepreneurship\, AI\, innovation\, leadership\, technology\, or social impact\nStudents who want to build real-world skills for university and future career pathways\nStudents who want to explore the TEA × ICUBE UTM AI Business Innovation Program\nTeachers\, parents\, and community partners interested in youth innovation and future-ready education\n\n \nWhy You Should Join\nLearn from Youth Entrepreneurs\nHear from successful youth entrepreneurs and student innovators who have real startup\, pitch\, grant\, or funding experience. Students will gain practical insight and inspiration beyond what they can find online. \nBuild Future-Ready Skills\nStudents will develop skills in: \n\nAI literacy\nEntrepreneurial thinking\nCommunication\nTeamwork\nCritical thinking\nProblem-solving\nPitching and presentation confidence\n\nExperience Real Innovation\nChallenge participants will work on an authentic AI-related business or community challenge and learn how ideas can become practical solutions. \nConnect with Mentors and Leaders\nStudents will have opportunities to connect with: \n\nICUBE UTM representatives\nYouth entrepreneurs\nStartup founders\nIndustry professionals\nMentors\nLike-minded students\n\nCompete for Awards and Scholarships\nChallenge participants may compete for: \n\nICUBE UTM Innovation Award — $500 Cash Prize\nAI Business Innovation Course Scholarships\nAdditional sponsored awards and recognition opportunities\n\n\n\nTwo Ways to Participate\nOption 1: Conference + Startup Challenge\nFor students who want to attend the conference and participate in the afternoon Startup Challenge. \nParticipants will: \n\nAttend the AI Business Innovation Conference\nLearn from youth entrepreneurs\, founders\, and innovation leaders\nWork in teams to solve a real-world AI innovation challenge\nReceive mentor feedback during the challenge session\nPresent their solution to judges\nCompete for awards\, prizes\, and scholarship opportunities\n\nTeam Format: 2–4 students per team \nStudents may register with a team or indicate that they are looking for teammates. \nOption 2: Conference Only\nFor students who want to attend the conference but do not wish to compete in the Startup Challenge. \nConference-only participants will: \n\nAttend the morning conference\nLearn from youth entrepreneurs and innovation leaders\nJoin networking and innovation exchange activities\nMeet mentors\, university representatives\, and industry partners\nWatch selected student pitch presentations\, depending on the final event format\nExplore AI\, business innovation\, and university pathway opportunities\n\n\n\nRegistration Deadline\nRegister by: October 31\, 2026 \nSpaces are limited. Early registration is encouraged. \nWhat to Bring\nStudents participating in the Startup Challenge should bring: \n\nLaptop or tablet\nCharger\nNotebook or paper for brainstorming\nWater bottle\nStudent ID\, if available\n\nGuest Wi-Fi will be provided during the event. \nConsent & Media\nParent/guardian consent is required for student participation. \nPhoto and media consent will also be collected during registration.
