He has been a faculty member at the University of Toronto at Mississauga since 2006, where he teaches Bachelor and Master Degree courses on strategy and the alignment of business information systems with strategy. Before 1990, Professor Lucas was Senior Vice President, Canadian communications provider Unitel (now Allstream Inc.), General Manager of Hitachi Data Systems Canada, Chief Operating Officer of Datacrown Inc. (now part of IBM Global Services) and IBM’s National Account Manager for the Canada Revenue Agency. He has a PhD from the University of Bradford school of Management, MBA from Syracuse University, MA in Economics from Western University and Honours BA in Economics from Carleton University.
