Are you someone with high attention to detail but are also able to look at the big picture? We want to talk to you! ICUBE is seeking an outgoing and creative Public Relations & Events Associate to join our team.

From vision to completion, your goal is to ensure awesome event planning and execution for ICUBE UTM. You will be coordinating details of all events including workshops, career fairs, seminars and overseeing related activities. You will also coordinate in and between internal and external organizations, including ICUBE partners and mentors and stakeholders at in-house and partner events.

Your Role Includes:
-Develop, evaluate, and monitor plans for ICUBE’s events, including food orders, run sheets, and assigning tasks to various team members. You will be responsible for overall coordination, logistics, organization and execution of events.
-Working collaboratively with the Institute for Management and Innovation staff and ICUBE’s Operations Associate to produce successful and important events.
-Participate in a variety of programs for the purpose of providing or receiving information and supporting the needs of the attendees.
-Ensure smooth functioning of events and be held responsible for ICUBE’s events.
-Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders, including organizing meetings, giving tours when appropriate, and liaising with external partners at industry events.

-Strong organizational, communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
-Ability to take personal initiative, work both independently and as a team member.
-Experience with Microsoft Office and GSuite (Google apps/docs), willing to learn new softwares and platforms as necessary.
-Ability to work independently and multitask, as well as work collaboratively with other students on a variety of projects.
-Relevant experience with event planning and logistics or a related area.
-Specialist/major in Management, Communications, Marketing or a related field.

Please note: This is a work study position at UTM, which means you must be a full-time undergraduate student at the University of Toronto Mississauga.
