Innovation Association / SXL Information Session
Oct 1 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Innovation Association / SXL Information Session @ ICUBE Co-Working Space

Interested in volunteering for a startup but not sure where to start? The Innovation Association and ICUBE came together to create a variety of opportunities for students. This information session specifically will focus on Startup Support 1.0, an opportunity for students to volunteer 20 hours of their time with ICUBE startup!

Why bother volunteering when you aren’t getting paid?

  1. Did you know employers value volunteer and paid experience equally?
  2. Experience working with a startup is infinitely more valuable than working for a big corporation (in our opinion). If you can master a million small things at a startup (and can highlight that appropriately in your resume), you can land almost any job at a larger corporation.
  3. This volunteer position, along with our others, opens the door to paid positions with local startups!

Learn more about Innovation Association and the Startup Experience League here. Or better yet, come out to our info session and chat with real people about real experiences!

Psst. Can’t make it? Don’t worry. We’re hosting another one on Friday, October 12th at 11am.
